Swimming
There are many great "swimming holes" in the creeks and streams of South Cumberland State Park; several good ones are listed below. If you wish to swim, please remember that all swimming holes in the Park are rocky; some are shallow; and because submerged rocks are frequently invisible, there is absolutely NO JUMPING OR DIVING from any ledges or rock outcroppings. Also be aware that large rocks in most streams are extremely slick when wet. Beware of "black-looking wet rocks," as they are typically the most slippery!
